This one is easy.
Essentially, it's a book report, so all you have to do is
-compose an explanatory thesis statement, and then
-explain the key points of the book, staying within the parameters of your thesis statement
Again, I'll stress that this is a pretty easy assignment, so you should focus on getting the little things right . . . I don't want to see such phrases/sentences as:
"___________ is a good book."
"___________ is an interesting character."
"I really liked this book."
We're all capable of using more descriptive adjectives and ideas than these simple concepts. If you would like help, ASK ME, because "I don't know how" will not be an excuse which improves your grade.
Remember: I will expect you to use examples and quotations to help prove your point! Arguments about the text do not carry any weight unless they are supported by evidence from the text. I will NOT be strict about the formatting of citations unless 1) I can't figure out the citation (I can't read it, or I can't find the passage to which it's meant to refer), 2) The rest of the paper looks good enough that we can afford to polish some of the minor details.
Work on your paper early and often and I'm sure you'll do well!
