King Numa had initiated so much. I love that he became king and immediately wanted to change the city from one founded in violence and make it peaceful, giving ways to signify the state of the city. He pretty much started our calendar by dividing the year into twelve months. He gave certain days for work, and those for rest. Kind of along the lines of the 10 commandments. Also, I apologize, I have had quite the lack of time this week 😕

I totally agree. Numa really did show a great example of kingship, something that is rarely seen. It's interesting as to why Livy didn't portray Romulus that way, as he was their first king.
